Jim Dunlop founded Real Property Management Secured on a straightforward belief: residential property owners deserve the same disciplined asset management typically reserved for institutional investors.
With over 30 years of experience at firms including Hines, ZOM Living, Archstone-Smith, and Great Gulf, Jim has overseen the development of thousands of multifamily units across major U.S. markets – from site acquisition and underwriting through construction and stabilization. Jim holds graduate degrees from Johns Hopkins University and the University of Texas at Austin, as well as a BS in Civil Engineering from NC State.

Matt Hiley | Head of Client Success
Matt Hiley brings more than 18 years of experience in the real estate industry, with a diverse background as a Maryland Licensed Realtor, private lender, and real estate investor.
Throughout his career, Matt has developed a deep understanding of real estate from multiple perspectives – from evaluating and financing investment properties to buying, selling, and managing the responsibilities that come with property ownership. He also previously owned and operated his own exterior cleaning business, giving him firsthand experience as a business owner and an appreciation for the importance of protecting and maintaining a property.
Matt’s approach is simple: treat every home as if it were his own. His goal is to do everything possible to protect each client’s investment, maximize their rental income, and minimize the headaches that often come with owning rental property.
A lifelong Ellicott City resident who grew up in the community and still calls it home today, Matt has deep roots in Maryland. When he’s not working, you can usually find him spending time with his soon-to-be wife, Kait and two kids, walking his two dogs, or out on the field coaching high school lacrosse.
